This session will provide a general overview and guide to legal issues charter schools face on a daily basis, including compliance with federal and state special education laws and a general overview of special education with an emphasis on student disciplinary issues and dispute resolution; student records (FERPA); student speech; and compliance with state open government laws (Public Records and Open Public Meetings).
