Maggie O'Sullivan

Rainier Prep
School Leader
Puget Sound - Spring 2016
Rainier Prep’s Founding School Leader Maggie O’Sullivan has served as a teacher, a para-educator, a coach, and a principal in public schools throughout the Seattle area for 20 years. She is inspired by teachers and students who are pushing their limits to stretch for something better for themselves and others.  Ms. O'Sullivan works at Rainier Prep because she believes that "what I do matters, so I try to do it well."  She has received awards for her leadership from her high school, her college, and her principal program.

When not working, Ms. O'Sullivan likes to be outside to hike, ski, garden, and play with her dog Stella. She spent a year between her two principalships traveling from Guatemala to the tip of South America, mostly by yellow school bus. She would like to learn how to speak several other languages fluently.
Maggie attended Bowdoin College (BA), Wesleyan University (MA), Stanford (MA), and UW (Principal Certification – Danforth).
