Raza Development Fund

Raza Development Fund (RDF), is a high performing non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) formed with the intention of creating financing solutions for low-income, Latino serving organizations in the areas of education, affordable housing and healthcare.
Established in 1999, RDF was a pioneer in the public charter school lending space having invested more than $325 million in educational facilities over its lifetime. RDF’s investment portfolio includes some of the best known and innovative charter school models in the country thus playing an important role in providing families with choice to failing schools. As an active supporter of the charter school movement in Washington State, RDF has provided direct funding to some of the state’s first and most effective charter schools. To date, RDF has funded over $19 million for acquisition and development of temporary and permanent educational facilities for charter schools in the state, supporting both emerging charter school management organizations and local, independent charter school operators.
